Terms of Service
Last updated: August 27, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Grabby browser extension and website (together, “Grabby,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using Grabby, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Grabby.
What Grabby is
Grabby is a no-code web scraper and data extractor browser extension. It runs in your own browser and helps you select data on web pages and export it to formats such as CSV and JSON. You are in control of what you scrape and what you do with the results.
License to use Grabby
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Grabby for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the extension, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Grabby to:
- Break any law, regulation, or the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
- Violate a website’s terms of service, or bypass access controls, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, or anti-bot protections.
- Collect personal data without a lawful basis, or in a way that breaches data-protection or privacy laws.
- Overload, disrupt, or harm any website, server, or network, for example through excessive automated requests.
- Send spam, harass anyone, or use collected contact details in violation of anti-spam or marketing laws.
You are solely responsible for the websites you choose to scrape, the data you collect, and how you use it.
Your responsibilities and compliance
Web scraping sits in a legal grey area that varies by website, data type, and jurisdiction. Scraping publicly available data is often permissible, but many websites restrict automated collection in their terms, and personal data carries additional obligations under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. It is your responsibility to review the terms of each site you use Grabby on and to comply with all applicable laws. Grabby is a tool; how you use it is up to you. Nothing in these Terms or on our website is legal advice.
Your data
Grabby runs locally in your browser and does not upload your scraped data to us. How Grabby handles information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Pricing and paid features
Grabby is currently free while in early access. We may introduce paid plans or optional features in the future, with pricing and terms disclosed at that time. We may change, add, or remove features as the product evolves.
Third-party websites
Grabby works on websites operated by third parties. We do not own, control, or endorse those websites, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms. Your use of any third-party website is between you and its operator.
No warranty
Grabby is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that Grabby will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will work on every website, since websites change and some actively block automated access.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Grabby. Our total liability for any claim relating to Grabby is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, which for the free version is zero.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of your use of Grabby, the data you collect, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party rights.
Termination
You may stop using Grabby and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or end your access to Grabby or its features if you breach these Terms or use Grabby unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Grabby after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
